Day 01 ARRIVAL / HIKKADUWA

Met on arrival by the Company Representative at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and transfer to Hikkaduwa, a very popular resort known for its wonderful coral gardens.

Check-in to your hotel for overnight stay.

Hikkaduwa, situated south of Colombo is originally a small settlement to north of the present town has long attracted tourists with its unique beach culture, and variety of water based recreational activities. The resort area has now engulfed two or three villages south of it, and is now a 4km strip of hotels, shops, bars, restaurants and guesthouses. The beaches are nice and wide and swimming is safe here, though the currents are stronger south of Hikkaduwa proper. The impressive coral reef runs just offshore and is still populated by exotic fish and sea turtles. Glass bottomed boats are available for visitors wanting to admire the wonders of the deep while keeping their feet dry!

Day 02 AT LEISURE IN HIKKADUWA

At leisure in your hotel in Hikkaduwa.

Day 03 HIKKADUWA / MADU RIVER / BENTOTA / HIKKADUWA

After breakfast leave for Balapitiya. Take a Boat ride on the Madu River. Madu Ganga (Madu River) bordering costal village Balaptiya flows by adding an incomparable beauty to the surrounding. It’s unique in its beauty, hundreds of islets, mangroves, indigenous aquatic birds & fish creates a green heave in front of your eyes.

These enchanting landscapes make people breathless by creating a paradise for their own dreams. This green heritage is a kind of lab for the researches, local & foreign university students & journalists who are discovering the secrets of this treasure.

On completion of visit travel to Bentota. Participate in various water sport activities available in Bentota sea & river.

Bentota water sport center lies directly on the Bentota River in Aluthgama a 2.5hrs drive from BIA and a few minutes away from your Hotel. They provide activities such as Windsurfing, Surfing, Waterskiing, Wakeboarding, body boarding, banana ride, tube ride, jet-ski, Deep Sea Fishing, River Fishing, Snorkeling, diving, river cruises. They have well-trained and experienced instructors and are certified.

They are well stocked with the latest water sports equipment with special emphasis on your comfort and safety concious. Equipment for children are also available.

Boats are on hand to take you to adventure cruises up river where you can see the diversity of the nature, birds, water monitors, crocodiles and fish.

Deep sea fishing, snorkeling, and diving are available from the month of November to April as the sea conditions are good at that time. All other activities are available all year long as they are river based.

On completion return to your hotel in Hikkaduwa for the overnight stay.

Day 04 HIKKADUWA / KITULGALA / KANDY

After breakfast leave for Kandy, the beautiful Hill capital and the last Kingdom Capital of the Sri Lanka's royalty. Kandy is surrounded by the lush tropical scenery. Stop at Kitulgala the scenic location used for the film 'Bridge over the River Kwai' and a famous lunch stop for the travelers upto Colombo or southern beaches.

Participate in White Water Rafting down Kelani River. This high adrenaline adventure on the white water section of the Kelani river is suitable for first time 'go for it' rafters and experts alike. During the run you will experience the thrill of shooting rapids and the euphoria of making it through. The rivers clear water is born in the heart of the peak wilderness reserve and tumbles through a rocky gorge just above Kitulgala. As the river widens we pass which is also a good place to jump in for a refreshing swim. The journey ends close to Kitulgala town where food and snacks are available. For those who would like to enjoy the river and its wonderful scenery without the thrills and spills of large rapids raft through the flatter section of the lower gorge.

On completion leave for Kandy and check-in to your hotel.

In the evening see a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show of drumming, dancing, music and fire walking followed by a visit to the most sacred place of the Buddhist world, the Dalada Maligawa - Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relics of the Lord Buddha.

Day 05 KANDY SIGHTSEEING / COLOMBO SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast Explore the city of Kandy. Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, a Batik Factory, a Gem Bureau where you will see a documentary on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done and then visit a Arts & Crafts Centre. Also drive around the Kandy Lake to see the scenic beauty of the city.

On completion of visit leave for Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. En route visit a Spice Garden and experience spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication.

In the afternoon take a sightseeing tour of Colombo, like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. For example, there is a 100- year-old clock tower and several British built colonial Buildings. Other places of interest are the Pettah bazaar - where one can shop for bargain, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, a gift from people of China.

Day 06 COLOMBO/ AIRPORT

Leave for airport in time for your flight.
